Pertama mungkin kalo privasi aku , aku bilang Vegas Pro itu lebih mudah dari pada Adobe Premiere , tapi Adobe premiere itu lebih lengkap dan lebih enak bagiku .
Kenapa ??...
Karena Adobe premiere ya yg tadi Lengkap , Hasil videonya juga bisa bagus dan menghasilkan 60fps , video effectnya bagus , dan kalo render lebih cepat . aku gk tau kenapa rendernya lebih cepat di Adobe .
Kalo Vegas Pro , itu mudah seperti crop videonya sangat mudah dan ya bisa dibilang itu di tengah" antara Windows Movie Maker dan Adobe Premiere . itu juga sudah bagus dan cocok untuk pemula :D .
kadang aku pakai kedua aplikasi itu , aku paling tidak suka render pakek Vegas pro kalo durasi videoku lama , karena kadang pas kita render di tengah" proses render kadang Gagal ( error ) padahal kita sudah menunggu lama-lama , tetapi kalo pakek adobe aku blm pernah ada masalah error saat render .
ya mungkin itu aja aku bahas software tersebut , aku tidak membandingkan kedua aplikasi tersebut .

The university will shall use these funds to enable make these courses to be available to all university undergraduate students systemwide, regardless of the campus where they are enrolled. The university should shall charge UC-matriculated students the same tuition for these courses that it charges them for regular academic year state-subsidized courses. Prior to the expenditures of these funds, the University shall submit a detailed expenditure plan for approval by the Department of Finance. The Director of Finance shall provide notification in writing of any approval granted under this section, not less than 30 days prior to the effective date of that approval, to the chairperson of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee, or not later than whatever lesser amount of time prior to that effective date the Chairperson of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee, or his or her designee, may in each instance determine. By March 1, 2014, the University shall submit a report detailing the use of these funds and any outcomes that may be attributed to their use. The report shall include the university’s proposal for use of these funds in 2014-15.”
This new language aligns with UC’s new online Initiative (ILTI), except it requires the new online courses to be applicable for degree transfer credit at all UC campuses. While the UC proposal only requires new courses to be transferable at two campuses, the state wants these classes to be system-wide. Since ILTI is reliant on the governor’s funding, it appears that the initial call for proposals will have to be rethought, and this brings up the very difficult problem of system-wide courses. One unresolved issue is whether any of these transferable courses will give major or GE credit and who will decide on this issue.
Complicating matters is the continuing battle over SB520. The bill is being amended again, and this time it will be a strictly voluntary incentive grant system. In other words, similar to ILTI, it will ask faculty to develop online courses, but they need to be available for transfer credit in all three segments. Like the governor’s proposal, SB520 could represent a backdoor elimination of shared governance, campus autonomy, and the power of individual faculty senates and departments to accept or reject outside courses.
Standing back, we see how the governor’s budget proposal, SB520, and the UC’s own online program are converging. While UC thinks that it can control the process and make sure that each campus has control over its curriculum, the state is pushing for a radical restructuring of the system. Moreover, since no one has figured out how revenue will be shared between the campuses and who will pay for a student on one campus to take a course on another campus, this top-down imposition of shared online courses may cause major havoc in California’s higher education segments.

One of the most painful things about stepping away from blogging was the really cool games that came out in my absence that I never got the chance to pick apart.
I mean, the Are Video Games Art? argument is stupid, right? Of course theyre art. Just usually crappy art. Art is helped by careful criticism. So I want to go over a bunch of games and pick them apart.
(Standard Spoiler Warning: There will be spoilers. So what? Were trying to have Real Talk about art here, which means looking at the whole thing. So put on your grown-up pants, come along, and dont freak out.)
The first game I wanted to talk about was Spec Ops: The Line, a game that looked like a totally bog-standard Call Of Duty clone, suffered for it sales-wise, and became a cult classic by being something infinitely more cool and weird.
How On Earth Did This Thing Get Green-Lit?
Spec Ops: The Line is an enjoyable, competently made Call of Duty type shooter, with most of the focus being on the single-player campaign. (Reviews of the multiplayer part would be difficult, as it would require more than one person to have ever played it.)
This is really important to remember when reading what follows ... Its a fun game. Good shooting sections, clever design, some really nice vehicle bits. Its not artsy-fartsy. It plays.
Its greatness comes from the fact (and this is where Ill start to lose people) that its not just a game but commentary on both the state of video game storytelling and the way people play games without really thinking about what theyre supposedly doing.
In any contemporary shooter, youre generally given a long hallway, a vaguely designed mission, a half-assed story, and a bunch of people to shoot. And you do. You trudge forward, center little images of human beings in your crosshairs, and blow them away. Then you get more half-assed story, shoot more simulated people, and it soon becomes hypnotic and repetitive. Soon, its just a reflex. People. Shoot. People. Shoot.
I am in no way part of the Fox News hysteria about how this process manufactures spree killers, but isnt it just a little bit weird?
This trend is still continuing. We are still trying to find the limit to the horrors gamers will enact if thats what it takes to get to the next mission.
Spec Ops: The Line takes this process and completely turns it on its head, telling the story of a group of soldiers who start to reflexively kill people, and the nightmare that results.
Call Of Duty On Shrooms
You start out as ordinary soldiers, on an ordinary mission. Then, as the game progresses, it gets more violent, the missions more questionable and vague. At the same time, everything about the framing of the game gets more bizarre and hallucinatory (the best touch, in my opinion, being the increasingly hilarious and disturbing loading screen tips).
The most commonly cited example: At one point, there is an artillery section highly reminiscent of the Death From Above bombing mission in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Its flashy and fun. Then, immediately after, you wander the land you shelled and see the results. And its ... not OK.
(By the way, you get several chances to choose whether or not to commit atrocities. I always chose to. You dont play a game like Spec Ops: The Line to NOT commit atrocities.)
Its become an industry joke that every new Call of Duty game has to have some bit thats allegedly surprising and shocking. You can take every shocking bit in every Call of Duty game, wrap them up in a ball, and its still playschool recess next to Spec Ops: The Line. That is because war, and we should occasionally pay at least lip service to this fact, is actually quite horrible.
The game has a real, visceral emotional punch, which is understandable, considering its source material.

We All Stand On the Shoulders of Giants
Spec Ops: The Line is one of many, many interesting retellings of Joseph Conrads classic novel, Heart of Darkness. I believe that if you put an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters in a room, they will come up with a retelling of Heart of Darkness in about 2 seconds.
(Even I tried my own Heart of Darkness homage, and it turned out quite well, though it strayed so far from its inspiration as to be unrecognizable.)
The basic Heart of Darkness template is a simple one: Agent A of Law/Order goes off into some sort of wilderness and is seduced by Chaos/Power. Agent B of Law/Order is sent after Agent A to try to control him/her/it. There is a harrowing journey through the wilderness, and Agent B (Law/Order proxy) finally confronts Agent A (Power/Chaos proxy). Awesome drama happens.
Its a terrific story model, and theres a lot of meat on it. The final showdown between these two models of civilization always has a ton of punch, which is why my one problem with Spec Ops: The Line is a big one.

I Hate Wacky Surprise Endings
As I played Spec Ops, I thought, again and again and again, "I know youre building up to a wacky surprise ending. PLEASE dont have a wacky surprise ending."
It had a wacky surprise ending.
These things are a curse. They lie to the player. They obscure character development. Ill write more about this in another post, but Ill get to the meat of it here. The real problem with it, in this game, is that its such a less interesting choice.
Turns out, much of what happened was a hallucination of the main character. (YAWN! Things that didnt happen are always less interesting than things that did happen.) The rogue Colonel Konrad youve been hunting, who has been effectively taunting you this whole game? Hes dead.
So Im spending this whole game at the edge of my seat, waiting for this epic confrontation between your character and this awesome rogue soldier. Instead, the game ends with one crazy asshole in a room talking to himself.
Two engaging characters in conflict of any sort (even if theyre only arguing about whether cake is better than pie), will always be more interesting than one crazy asshole talking to himself.
But Lets Not Go Overboard
Its a terrific game. Its fun, its full of awesome little touches, and it brings something unique to the most tired of genres. It feels truly fresh, and I think its required playing for people who take this design wonk stuff seriously.
Next game, to be written about someday: The Last of Us. You dont think I can go without talking about that one, do you?

Object Tracking and Monitoring is about recovering objects parameters that related to its shape, position, velocity, etc. This activity could be used for many things. For example: vehicle monitoring and camera surveillance. Autonomous Object Tracking and Monitoring is about making system that simulate human intelligence to do Object Tracking and Monitoring by using Artificial Intelligence. There are two kind of technology that can be used in implementing object tracking and monitoring: Treading & Scale and Image Processing. Despite its complexness, Image Processing has better potential to recover objects parameters to a whole different level than the Treading & Scale technology.
Image Processing technology can be relativily expensive or cheap (compared to Treading & Scale) depending on how it being used. Several issues that goes along with Image Processing technology are: Artificial Intelligence complexness, quality of input device, and machine processing ability. Here, we will only talking about Video Processing and algorithm strategy to implement Autonomous Object Tracking and Monitoring.
There are at least 6 challanges that have to be faced when implementing Autonomous Object Tracking and Monitoring:
- image substraction
- background generation and update
- region finding and filtering
- associating region
- regions parameters
- vehicle identification
I will talk about them later when Im not too busy (havent I told you that Im quite bu...**cough**lazy**cough**? :P)

Arrow Video City of the Living Dead Zavvi Steelbook
Back in May I shared a handful of images featuring Zavvis upcoming limited Steelbooks courtesy of Arrow Video. After months of anxious waiting I have finally received my City of the Living Dead steelbook and Im here to report that it looks even better in hand than in the pictures. This particular release has since become one of my favorite releases and its one that I highly recommend to fans of the Fulci classic! Below youll find a collection of pictures detailing the release and even comparing it to the slipcase version Arrow Video released back in 2010. Enjoy!
